Congratulations on your FREE Hurricane Extensions (Harvey, Irma, Maria and Nate)

Congratulations (?) on your FREE Hurricane Harvey extension; Hurricane Irma extension; Hurricane Maria extension or Hurricane Nate extension.

Thanks to fast government action, you may have an automatic FREE: Hurricane Harvey extension; Hurricane Irma extension; Hurricane Maria extension; or Hurricane Nate extension. This extra time will let us do much better tax returns for you, even if you already filed a 2016 return. For example, bookkeeping can now include some or all your receipts, so you never lose deductions, credit for returns or proof for insurance claims. We also have a free app to phone scan, VOICE label and automatically categorize receipts. It should soon automatically categorize, separate and reconcile by person, where several people charge on one bank or credit card account.

Your Hurricane extension covers all tax returns due on or after the Hurricanes Irma arrived. You need not file OR PAY until Jan. 31, 2018. IRS also will waive payroll deposit penalties from Sept. 4 to 18. Hurricane Harvey extensions are from Aug. 23 to Jan. 31, 2018. Hurricanes Maria and Nate have similar extensions, based on when they hit. Florida corporate extensions are until Fed. 15, 2018 and sales tax extensions are until Sept. 29, 2017. Penalties still apply to amounts due on Apr. 18, 2017.
