(11/24/16 update)

QuickBooks users from many countries have long been contacting us, at my Fort Lauderdale Florida, QuickBooks CPA office, for fast economical accounting, bookkeeping and near 24/7 support. No QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor comparable credentials.
  • My associates and I have been intensely using and supporting QuickBooks for 18 years, often 24/365.
  • I began 11 years as Intuit (QuickBooks) insider by twice wining first prize as the world’s #1 QuickBooks Top Tester (prerelease features and bugs). This means learning QuickBooks changes long before other users see them. It also means talking to top developers, to shape future QuickBooks changes. I once had 412 beta test points, vs 215 for the #2 tester and 25 for average testers. Intuit stopped tracking test points, at my suggestion, because my results seem to be discouraging others testers, so no one will match me as QuickBooks Top Tester.
  • I sometimes successfully oppose Intuit plans, such  as payroll update fees on each QuickBooks company file, not each copy of QuickBooks (CNET: This major victory… was almost certainly caused by a gigantic hue and cry in… biz.comp.accounting. Block… is the moderator of the discussion group and led the battle against the new fees).
  • Former Intuit (QuickBooks) CEO Steve Bennett later wrote, “Keep raising hell when Intuit does something wrong!”
  • Steve told current Intuit CEO Brad Smith to contact me before Brad arrived at Intuit. Brad wrote, “told by many Intuit executives… that you have been quite open to taking the time to assist Intuit, are a tremendous voice of reason and are one of our most impactful and innovative Professional Advisors.” He later added “You’re fantastic Mike. Absolutely fantastic!
  • I have been an Intuit QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor (QCPA or Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor) since inception.
  • QuickBooks consultants can buy an Uncertified QuickBooks ProAdvisor (QPA) title without training or testing. They also get this title by having QuickBooks Online clients. That is tragic because Intuit admitted that ALL Advisor complaints involved Uncertified QPAs. Advisor rate tables also showed that extra unjustified QPA charges, vs self-designated QuickBooks consultant charges, were more than a billion dollars a year. This amount of these unjustified charges quickly dropped when Intuit temporarily dropped QPAs from its Find-An-Accountant list, but it soon reversed this decision.
  • Early QCPA tests said which questions were wrong each time you tested, so you could quickly get 100% by first answering all A, then all B, etc., without even reading questions. Intuit gave CPAs continuing education credit for this until my protests led to a conference call with the national CPA authority.
  • Intuit copied two MIchael Block CPA web pages to its QuickBooks Community web library.
  • Three time Intuit QuickBooks Ask the Expert, mainly on Speeding up QuickBooks.
  • QuickBooks errors expert: On 7/28/11 Google had 272,000 links to web pages with QuickBooks errors Mike Block. There were 657,000 such links on 11/24/16.
  • Charter member of Intuit QuickBooks and ProSeries Tax Advisory Councils.
  • Helped get Intuit to go from active hostility to QuickBooks add-ons to making them their #1 company goal. There were soon nine million web links to QuickBooks add-ons, counting words like apps and integrate. There were almost 14 million on 11/24/16. Some are sure to save time, save money, increase accuracy and stop you from outgrowing QuickBooks.
  • Intuit created two websites at my request.
  • Wrote more than 10,000 mainly QuickBooks newsgroup and forum answers, most while QuickBooks had a minor web presence.
  • Edited and wrote the first Intuit QuickBooks blog by a non-Intuit employee.
  • I repeatedly requested tech-support backed user-to-user forums, for faster and better answers. The forums soon let Intuit cut employees by 14%. Later cuts made the  forums less useful.
  • Business Week featured me in a story on web online services.
  • PCMagazine featured me in a nine page cover story on online online services (now summarized).
  • Accounting Technology Magazine featured me in a major cover story, reprinted and web posted by Accounting Today.
  • Intuit asked me to start the first Intuit sponsored QuickBooks user group. My South Florida QuickBooks Meetup was the largest such group for a long time.
  • 1
  • Florida State Board of Accountancy: The people of Florida owe you a debt of gratitude.
  • Former elected Broward County Port Commissioner (Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood Florida, gave back salary).
  • As a tax cut petition leader (1975 – 1994), I co-wrote and led petitions to change the Florida Constitution, election laws and national petition practices. I successfully argued one petition before the Florida Supreme Court.
  • I led Florida efforts that got Senator Chiles (later Governor) to vote for the Balanced Budget Amendment. When Senator Chiles agreed to co-sponsor the Amendment he said, “Now get Block off my back.” His vote almost passed this badly needed Amendment.

This is a partial list, so it is an understatement to say that no Fort Lauderdale QuickBooks CPA has these credentials. Please contact the best Fort Lauderdale QuickBooks CPA, for a free initial review.
