Xero and Yodlee Shortcuts

Here are some of my Xero and Yodlee shortcuts:

1. Open several Xero (or non-Xero) browser tabs at once
   1. Right-Click on any Xero tab in your browser
   2. You do not have to login again
   3. Xero allows one multi-tab browser session per company
   4. Open different Xero companies in different browser sessions
   5. Suggested Xero open screens for bank reconciliation
      1. Bank or financial institution account
      2. Cash coding for this account
      3. Bank Rules
      4. Chart of accounts
2. Add a new bank account
   1. Save time: use 0 as the account number on the first screen
   2. You do not need an account number with a login
   3. You still get all bank accounts for the user and password
3. Use the free http://Yodlee.com/ with Xero
   1. See if Xero can download entries from your bank
      1. Xero may not use all Yodlee accounts
      2. Xero rarely uses a non-Yodlee account
   2. Yodlee often goes back further
   3. Yodlee can avoid manual import problems
      1. It imports from 12,000 financial institutions
      2. Many have different formats
      3. Yodlee exports them all in one format
      4. Manually edit Yodlee export for Xero imports
      5. Delete Yodlee entries that are already in Xero
      6. We will soon automate Yodlee to Xero imports
